JDI sponsors numerous annual scholarships in a variety of disciplines, focused on the skills required for the new team members we anticipate hiring in the next several years. Our scholarship programs support team players with positive attitudes who are focused on building careers with a progressive, leading-edge company.

Tree Planting Scholarships

Our company is a leader in reforestation and each summer we hire hundreds of students. We have planted over 700 million trees since 1957, and value the hard work of the students who plant our future forests by providing annual scholarships to help fund their university/college tuition payments.

Sawmill & Woodlands - Building Foundations Student Incentive Program

The Sawmill and Woodlands Divisions have a progressive incentive program that increases in value with each work term spent with us.  At the end of each work term the bonus increases.  In addition, top performers can quality for additional monies in their final year of study.

Pulp & Paper Division - J.D. Irving, Limited Training Incentive Program now has a Real Bonus!

If you are graduating and you are currently doing your final work term with the Pulp & Paper Division, you can be eligible to receive a $2500 signing bonus to join our group permanently and if you have worked for any other divisions, you can add another $500 per work term.

J.D. Irving, Limited Accounting Incentive Award

  • You are a 3rd year Business or Commerce student at UNB, UNB Saint John or Mount Allison
  • You plan to pursue an accounting designation
  • You have a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • You have a need to succeed!

We have an incentive program for you! We offer a $3000 financial award per year and paid work term, all on the way to your CA, CGA or CMA.
