Shaun MacLean – Training Incentive Award – Green Diamond Award Winner

Being a mature student and a father of a new baby, going back to college to take the Pulp & Paper Process Technology Program was a huge decision for me and my family.  When I found out about the JDI Scholarship Program, I immediately applied and was awarded the Green Diamond Award. Receiving this award not only helped me financially but I was also offered full time employment upon graduation.  I am thankful for J.D. Irving for this opportunity and to work for a great company I know I can grow with.

I Applied for the Training Incentives Program after my 1st year, and by receiving the Green Diamond Award has assisted me with college tuition, given me all three of my work terms with a J.D.I. company, and a full time job within J.D. Irving upon graduation. This program has given me the chance to work, and grow within the company in which I'll be employed. Because of this program I know that I have a job before I even graduate.
