Helping Out in NB After Arthur

July 15, 2014: JDI assists NB Power and communities to clean power lines and clean up.

Many communities and residents of New Brunswick have directly experienced the impact of Tropical Storm Arthur with few having been hit especially hard leaving behind significant damage.

 Over 60 JDI employees supported Tropical Storm Arthur recovery with 3200 hours of work and equipment.


With a team of 60+ employees, more than 3200 hours of work and equipment:

  • From JDI Woodlands 43 Power Saw Operators and 6-10 JDI Self-Loading Logging Trucks and Crews,
  • KENT Fredericton assisted Red Cross delivering water, 
  • Irving Equipment with 2 industrial cranes mobilized to Minto and Marysville,
  • and over 1000 Bags of Ice to Chipman.

JDI helped to clear the power lines and clean-up in Rothesay, Bath, Nackawic, Grand Bay-Westfield, Fredericton, Boiestown, and Woodstock.

Special thanks to Jim Jordan who has been leading our relief contribution, working with NB EMO, NB Power and the City of Fredericton. Jim has been on the job since Sunday, July 6, mobilizing for stricken communities.
