“We are very excited that Atlantic Towing Limited has chosen to support the clients of Stella’s Circle,” said Lisa Browne, CEO of Stella’s Circle. “This gift will enable our organization to provide enhanced programs and services for adults who are eager to enter the workforce, but lack the necessary skills and resources to be successful in their pursuit of employment.”

“Stella’s Circle delivers life-changing programs to so many in the community,” said Wayne Power, Vice President of Atlantic Towing Limited. “We’re proud to call St. John’s our homeport for our offshore fleet and are very pleased to support the important work of the new Employment Training Centre to grow the potential and build the skills of those eager to go to work.”
Stella’s Circle has been offering employment service programs since 2000. In 2013 the organization made a strategic decision to bring all employment programming together under one roof to provide a more efficient, comprehensive offering and build on the social enterprise model. The organization acquired the old Tooton building on Cabot Street and is currently re-developing the property.
When completed later this year, the new Employment Training Centre will be a one-stop resource for people who are ready to go to work but need the support and skill development strategies that our programs will offer.
“Stella’s Circle is entering a new and exciting era – one that will take the organization to the next level and will enhance our capacity to provide education and training opportunities for participants who are eager to find their way back into the workforce. Together with our community partners, like Atlantic Towing Limited, we are helping people to change their lives” said Ms. Browne.
