University of New Brunswick Saint John Student receives J.D. Irving, Limited Accounting Incentive Award

June 3, 2015: Twenty four-year-old Nick Bartlett from St. Andrews, NB is the 5th recipient of the annual J.D. Irving, Limited Accounting Incentive Award.  The third-year business student from the University of New Brunswick’s Saint John (UNBSJ) campus received a $3,000 award payable towards his education. Nick has also received an accounting work term position with the JDI Finance team in Saint John.

Nick, a high school graduate from Sir James Dunn Academy, is currently completing a Business Administration degree at UNBSJ majoring in accounting.  Upon graduation in May 2016, Nick plans to pursue a professional accounting designation.   

“Words cannot describe how appreciative I am to have been selected for the J.D. Irving Accounting Incentive Award,” says Bartlett “I am honoured to be given the opportunity to start my career path with a company that is willing to invest in my education.”

The Accounting Incentive Award is awarded annually to a third-year business student with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 and plans to pursue a career in accounting.
