Irving Tissue and Irving Personal Care Donate to Syrian Refugee Families

February 24, 2016:

Over 18 pallets of diapers and tissue products have been donated to refugee families in Saint John and Moncton. On Friday, Midland Transport volunteers delivered 14 pallets to the YMCA Welcome Centre for refugees. All the products are donated by Irving Tissue and Irving Personal Care.

“We appreciate the generous support of Irving Tissue and Irving Personal Care,” said Shilo Boucher, President and CEO of the YMCA Saint John. “Many of the Syrian families are arriving with very young children and access to a supply of diapers is a wonderfully helpful gift.  This is another great example of community support for our newest families to Saint John.”

Earlier this month, J.D. Irving, Limited made a similar donation to the Multicultural Association of the Greater Moncton Area (MAGMA) in partnership with the City of Moncton and the Red Cross.
