Recreational use of JDI lands

At J.D. Irving, Limited (JDI), managing the forest for timber to provide quality forest products brings the inherent responsibility to sustainably manage for a variety of non-forest resources such as wildlife habitats, clean water and recreation.

Most of the lands we own manage are open to the public for recreational use, offering an incredible range of opportunities for local residents and visitors including:

  • Hiking, Canoeing & Birdwatching 
  • Cross Country Skiing
  • ATV and Snowmobiling

Fishing

JDI private land and the Crown land that we manage offer a variety of fishing access opportunities to the public, dependent on location.

Hunting

Hiking

JDI owned and managed lands offer a multitude of hiking, bird watching, canoeing and photography opportunities.

Skiing

JDI managed lands offer winter recreational opportunities, including cross country skiing on our forest trails.

ATV & Snowmobile

JDI works closely with local ATV and snowmobile associations to safely enjoy trails on the lands we own or manage in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Maine.
