IRVING NATURE PARK LAUNCHES NEW, FREE NATURE DISCOVERY PROGRAM WITH THE HELP OF SMART PHONE TECHNOLOGY
J.D. Irving, Limited is rolling out a new, free program that will enable visitors to the Irving Nature Park and Dune de Bouctouche to learn more about wildlife and the natural environment, with the help of their smartphones.
Visitors are now able to scan QR codes stationed throughout the Irving Nature Park and, later this summer, la Dune de Bouctouche to learn more about the unique, natural features they're seeing.
With the popularity of geocaching, hiking, and outdoor family activities during the pandemic and staycations, we are expecting the community will take full advantage of the new offering to enhance their park experience. It is an opportunity to learn, reconnect with nature, and discover the unique biodiversity that is being conserved.
Almost 25% of the forest lands that we own or manage have a primary objective of conservation. Our team of foresters is trained annually to identify and protect a range of conservation values – from old forests, nesting sites, rare plants, or important archeological areas so that we can ensure that the biodiversity that relies on these unique forest features can thrive for generations to come.
We invite you to visit www.jdirvingconservation.com to learn more about our program and visit some of our most unique natural wonders to discover the gift of nature!
