Three Years & Zero Lost-Time Incidents at CFM

Custom Fabricators and Machinists (CFM) is thrilled to announce that, as of August 21, 2023, it has reached a major workplace milestone: three years without a lost-time incident.

“The success in safety at CFM is a reflection of the work that frontline leaders and employees do daily,” said Vanessa LeBlanc, CFM Safety Advisor.

“It’s all of the little things that add up to these impressive milestones. Without the support and buy-in from all levels of the organization, it wouldn’t be possible.”

Workplace safety is a team effort from the start to finish of every job. It's a thorough, ongoing process that requires constant communication to address potential hazards before they result in injuries. Preventative measures include initiatives such as job safety analyses, field hazard assessments and identifications, keeping a watchful eye on safety compliance regulations, internal safety campaigns and more.

“The team at CFM has continued to improve our safety culture every day that we come to work by identifying hazards, proactively talking about safety, and looking out for one another and our customers,” said Jenna Hazelton, the General Manager of CFM.

Workplace safety is always the priority at CFM, which provides a variety of manufacturing, repair and overhaul, technical services and more in challenging industrial settings and situations. Hazelton said that performing work successfully and without incident proves that the company is heading in the right direction regarding safety.

“While it is important to stop and celebrate these impressive results, we still have a lot of work to do — and I know we are up for the challenge,” said Hazelton, praising the dedication of her team.

“I am very proud of this team for continuing to choose safety every day.”
