Irving Forest Products supports Searsmont recovery efforts
Dixfield, Maine -- In the wake of the explosion at Robbins Lumber in Searsmont, Irving Forest Products is contributing $100,000 to the Maine Strong Memorial Foundation to support those impacted.
The emergency relief fund will assist individuals, families and first responders affected by the tragedy. One hundred percent of donations go directly to those impacted.
Irving Forest Products operates sawmills in Dixfield, Ashland and Masardis, and has long-standing roots in Maine’s forestry sector.
“Our thoughts are with everyone affected,” said Jerome Pelletier, Vice President of Irving Forest Products. “This is a close-knit community and an industry where people look out for one another. We know what it takes to recover and rebuild, and we’re proud to join others in supporting the Maine Strong Memorial Foundation and the people of Searsmont.”
