Keeping up with trends - Fluted Paneling

Accent walls have been transforming rooms for decades. What started out in the 17th century as silks and heavy materials have evolved into detailed and neutral woods. Where bright and busy floral wallpaper used to be the go-to, we now see simple and elegant paneling.

Today the Sawmill Division is announcing its latest style of wall covering - fluted boards. These shiplap pieces of paneling were designed with easy install in mind. The three colour options mean there is a match for each room in your home. Natural, which is available now, as well as black and white colour options, which are coming shortly, will be offered at each store that carries the product.

As we continue to grow our portfolio of value added products, we take current market trends into consideration. Fluted and reeded detailing can currently be found on everything from furniture to glassware and doors.

"We pride ourselves in following the trends of the home décor market. Wood is a classic element of décor and we're happy to provide products that are easy for customers to install," says Phil Martin, Marketing & Business Development Manager for the Sawmill Division.

J.D. Irving, Limited's Sawmill Division has been supplying various styles of wall coverings to our customers for several years now (read about our Barn Board here [insert link]).
