New CFM office now open

J.D. Irving, Limited's Construction & Equipment Division has opened a new office for its Custom Fabricators & Machinists (CFM) Technical Services team. Renovations began on the state-of-the-art facility in October 2024. It will provide a common space for 75 team members from the Survey, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), and Weigh Scale departments fostering collaboration, creativity and pride. 

“Thinking outside the box and being creative is what CFM does best. Our Technical Services team was spread out but always came together. Now, we’re working under one unified facility and growing together,” says Todd Hansen, Director of Technical Services.

With its professional design and collaborative layout, the new office on Thorne Avenue in Saint John, New Brunswick is expected to energize the team and strengthen CFM’s ability to attract both new talent and customers. 

For Hansen, the new space also represents a major milestone in CFM’s journey, “The new building stands as a symbol of CFM’s progress. The CFM Team has worked extremely hard over the past several years to increase our customers’ confidence in our abilities.
