RST Transport named NTTC 2025 North American Safety Champion following zero-incident year
RST Transport has been named a 2025 North American Safety Champion by the National Tank Truck Carriers (NTTC), receiving the industry’s highest safety distinction during the association’s annual conference this April in Baltimore, Md.
The Safety Champion designation reflects outstanding performance across a comprehensive range of safety metrics, including accident frequency, compliance history and safety program implementation. RST Transport earned the honour following a standout safety year that included a zero recordable safety incident rate.
RST Transport was first recognized earlier this year as a Grand Award winner in Round 1 of the NTTC North American Safety Contest, competing in Class 7 of the Sutherland Division (for-hire carriers operating fewer than 15 million miles annually). Grand Award recipients advanced to the final round, where winners were selected by industry judges based on nine safety performance areas, including driver qualification and training, vehicle and tank inspection and maintenance, incident response, worker safety programs and industry engagement.

The North American Safety Contest is open to all for‑hire and private‑fleet NTTC members in good standing and is conducted annually to recognize the safest tank truck carriers in North America. All results are verified by independent auditors.
