Trans-Canada College named one of Canada’s top trucking schools

MONCTON, N.B. — Collège Trans-Canada College (TCC), one of New Brunswick’s longest-standing commercial driver training institutions, is proud to announce it has been named one of the top trucking schools in Canada.

Each year, CourseCompare.com ranks the top truck driving schools across Canada, and in 2026 named TCC first in Atlantic Canada and second overall. This recognition highlights TCC’s decades-long commitment to delivering high-quality, industry-ready training for professional truck drivers across the province.

For nearly 40 years, TCC has been a leading private career college providing hands-on, provincially approved training designed to prepare students for successful careers in transportation. With training locations in Moncton, Bathurst, Sussex, Saint John and Oromocto, TCC has become the preferred choice for aspiring professional drivers throughout the region.

“TCC’s success is built on a strong foundation of exceptional instructors, industry partnerships, and a curriculum that meets both provincial and industry standards,” said Stephan Paillant, General Manager of Trans-Canada College. “We’re committed to giving students the highest quality experience and putting well-trained drivers on the road to serve industries and communities across Atlantic Canada.”

TCC’s programs, recognized for their depth, practical training and real-world preparation, include 12 weeks of in-class and in-truck learning, followed by a four-week internship with one of the college’s transport carrier partners. The school proudly maintains a 95 per cent job placement rate, supported by longstanding relationships with employers across the region.

Graduates frequently highlight the value of TCC’s instructor-led approach and supportive training environment.

This national recognition comes as TCC continues to grow under the ownership of J.D. Irving, Limited’s Transportation and Logistics Division, which acquired the college to strengthen driver training and support workforce demand across the industry.

“As part of J.D. Irving’s transportation family, we are well-positioned to continue delivering industry-leading programming,” added Paillant. “Our goal remains the same: ensuring every graduate is confident, capable and fully prepared for a successful career in trucking.”
