It's national volunteer week, a time to honour and recognize the amazing people who use their time, energy and talents to make a difference in their communities. 

Healthy Communities
Many of the people on the JDI team head up youth sports team in the community, like Patrick and Jane.

Learning and Literacy

Community Connections
Lacey applies her finance knowledge to JDI by day and the board of FUSION Saint John by night. The group connects young professionals in the city and organizes community events. 

Constructing Better Communities
Elizabeth has been part of a team that volunteers with Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia annually. The Women Build project has teams of women raise funds and construct a home for a family. 

Entrepreneurial Spirit 
Michael Hogan is part of the team at JDI Moncton and uses his business savvy to mentor students as part of the Junior Achievement program. 

Helping with Homework
Chris works with teens at the Teen Resource Centre as a tutor, assisting with homework and assignments. 

Organizing Fundraisers
Alicia is a volunteer for Relay for Life, raising money for the Canadian Cancer Society.
