Congratulations to JDI Pulp and Paper Scholarship Recipients

Irving Pulp and Paper (IPP) Division is proud of the accomplishments of its employees' children and are supportive of their continuing education and academic achievement.

This summer, $1,000 IPP Division scholarships were presented to 8 deserving students who are studying at universities and community colleges throughout the Atlantic region.

Congratulations to Mike Chaffey (Memorial University), Chelsea McNamara (UNB), Lori Graham (NBCC), Courtney Davenport (Queens), David Munford (NBCC), Allison Bent (UNB), Allison Thorne (Acadia), and Sarah Crowell (Acadia).

JDI believes our future prosperity depends on developing the next generation of professionals and skilled trades right here at home.

Over the next two years JDI will hire over 7,400 people for across its operations, with 3,600 in New Brunswick alone. Each summer JDI hires over 600 summer and co-op students to work in all the businesses. Throughout the year, JDI partners with universities, community colleges and high schools with programs like:

  • Direct Exchange Case Competitions
  • Co-op Programs
  • Career Track - graduate hires for Moncton companies
  • Careers in Motion - Transportation Division program - graduates
  • Career Start - Pulp & Paper Division program - graduates
  • NB TAP - intro to trades for high school students
