Dalhousie’s Management Career Services recognized J.D. Irving, Limited as Atlantic Employer of the Year for co-op students and new graduates. 

 “J.D. Irving has been a long-time contributor to the opportunities that our students have for completing co-ops,” said Anna Cranston, Director of Dalhousie University’s Management Career Services. “They continuously provide really strong co-op experiences and learning opportunities.” 

The annual award is given to an organization offering a high number of work terms and high level of engagement with students through employer-initiated activities and Management Career Services-led events. 

“J.D. Irving was a very natural employer to select,” said Lori Bauld, Career and Recruitment Specialist for Management Career Services at Dalhousie University. “They’ve been heavily invested with dealing with our co-op students with new grad recruitment not only within the faculty of management but within computer science and engineering as well.”

Irving, Limited. “One of the great things about completing a work term with JDI is that it’s really more than a co-op term; it’s an opportunity to start your career.” Angela noted that new hires from Dalhousie join a team with 194 Dalhousie alumni who work across JDI operations. “We look to hire our top talent students full-time into our organization whenever we can.”
