Growing the Future Workforce

J.D. Irving, Limited (JDI) continues to invest in and build its business with the skills of great employees.  Between now and 2015, the company will require over 6500 new employees as a result of retirements, turnover, and consideration of current growth forecasts.  Most of the new jobs fall within the following categories:

•  Skilled Trades
•  Engineering
•  Information Technology
•  Retail Operations
•  Drivers
•  Machine Operators

About 75 percent of the new employees will be hired in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.  The remaining 25 percent will be hired in Canada (Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, and Alberta) and the United States (Massachusetts, Maine, Minnesota, North Dakota, New Hampshire, and New York).
