Inspiring the Next Generation of Canadian Shipbuilders

 

For the third summer, students from age 5 – 14 participated in Shipbuilding Summer Camps with SuperNOVA. Supported through the Irving Shipbuilding Nova Scotia Community College Centre of Excellence, the camps are designed to teach children about how ships are built, who builds them, principles like buoyancy, propulsion, electricity, and ocean sciences. 

 



Six camps were offered this summer in the following regions:

Shelburne, NS
Sipe’knekatik, NS
Truro, NS
Annapolis Valley First Nation, NS
Waycobah, NS
Acadia First Nation, NS
