Irving Pulp & Paper Applies For Infill Project To Address Flooring

SAINT JOHN, NB:  Irving Pulp & Paper, located on the west side of Saint John has applied for a permit to infill a water lot on Lee Cove that the company owns beside the mill.  The infill would occur over a shallow shelf in the water.  The project is focused on addressing flooding that has become an issue over the past few years on a road that is vital to site operations.

The company today published the required public notice under Transport Canada’s Navigable Waters Act which provides for 30 days of comment regarding any navigation issues.  The deadline for comments is December 20, 2019.

Details of the project with pictures detailing the site and proposed phases are in this video link.
