"J.D. Irving Earns #3 Spot in the Local United Way's Corporate Campaign

At the United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick’s closing campaign celebration on April 3, J.D. Irving was recognized as one of the top corporate donors in 2017, once again finishing in third spot out of 130 companies. 

This year, the Moncton-based companies raised $125,724 for local programs, surpassing their previous record by $7,400! Funds were raised through employee pledges and special events.

“Employees continue to show their commitment to our community. Thanks to their generosity, we have been breaking fundraising records year-over-year. Employees also give their time to many local organizations and are making a real difference,” said Robert K. Irving, Co-Chief Executive Officer of J.D. Irving, Limited. 

The United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick’s 2017 campaign raised a record $2,410,685, representing a 4% increase over the 2016 campaign. 

“After 2 years of being Campaign Chair, it is so inspiring to see the incredible generosity of our community. Thanks to the support of over 6,000 donors we are able to fund agencies that provide essential programs and services in Southeastern New Brunswick,” said the United Way’s 2017 Campaign Chair, Kirk Muise.
