J.D. Irving, Limited Acquires Richibucto Truss Plant

J.D. Irving, Limited (JDI) has acquired Atlas Truss of Richibucto, New Brunswick. 

"We are very pleased to be part of the Richibuctou community with our purchase of Atlas Truss from Ola Johnson and his partners," said Stew Valcour, Vice President of Retail Operations for J.D. Irving, Limited.  "The team at Atlas is innovative and produces quality products.  It is business as usual for the 70 employees and we look forward to working with them."

The Richibucto plant becomes the fifth Shamrock Truss plant in the Atlantic region.  The other locations include: Saint John, NB; Cornwall, PEI; Lower Sackville, NS; and Mount Pearl, NL.

The Shamrock Truss team has been serving home builders and commercial contractors since 1963, providing top-notch engineered wood products along with great customer support.

“In addition to the manufacture of traditional roof trusses, Atlas is one of the region’s leaders in the practice of wall panel construction, which is of particular interest to contractors and owners of hotels, apartment buildings, and other residential and commercial complexes,” said Valcour.
