J.D Irving. Limited Becomes Major Partner With The Duke of Edinburgh International Award in New Brunswick

J.D. IRVING, LIMITED BECOMES MAJOR PARTNER WITH THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH INTERNATIONAL AWARD IN NEW BRUNSWICK

FREDERICTON, N.B - The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award in New Brunswick is proud to announce its partnership with J.D. Irving, Limited, supporting youth outreach across the province.

As a major partner, J.D. Irving, Limited, (JDI) has made a major contribution to assist us in reaching our goal of doubling our participant base in N.B. by the year 2020 including outreach to special needs youth, First Nations youth, immigrant youth, Francophone youth, and youth from rural communities.

It is our goal to ensure every youth in our province is aware of this internationally renowned program and has the opportunity to participate in it. Due to the positive habits and life skills developed during their time in the Award, these youth will become leaders and contributing members of our province, thereby creating a stronger New Brunswick for us all.

The partnership is part of JDI’s ongoing commitment to making a positive difference in our communities. As part of their everyday commitment to finding a better way, J.D. Irving, Limited supports the communities where we live and work through charitable donations and sponsorship.

“For over 50 years, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award has helped shape the future leaders and citizens of our province by guiding them through a program which fosters self-reliance, perseverance, self-confidence, motivation, and responsibility,” said Robert K. Irving, Co-Chief Executive Officer of J.D. Irving, Limited. “Through this partnership we look forward to the future as we offer New Brunswick youth the opportunity to develop life-long skills that shape them today and as they grow into tomorrow.”
