JDI Proudly Donates $100,850 to Big Brothers Big Sisters Saint John

On top of J.D. Irving, Limited’s (JDI) volunteer commitment to the Partners Assisting Local Schools (PALS) program, this year we topped our personal best and raised $100,850.62 during the annual Bowl for Kids Sake fundraiser, with all funds donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters Saint John. This year’s total was the highest total to date!

The event took place at the Fairview Bowling Lanes in Saint John. JDI teams came together for a good time, and an even better cause. Big Brothers Big Sisters are vital partners to JDI’s PALS program. Over the last seven years, JDI teams have raised a total of $565,000.00 at the annual Bowl for Kids Sake Fundraisers.

This year, JDI had 16 teams from multiple divisions across the company participate in the event. In addition to the event itself, a committee also put together bake sales and 50/50 draws in an effort to raise more money for the program.

“JDI and its employees continue to be a great champion for young people in our community”, says Deborah Fisher – PALS Coordinator. “It is such a pleasure to work with a company that believes in giving back to the people of our community and encourages employee support throughout all of our programs.”
A huge thank you goes out to everyone who donated, participated, and helped to organize this event. It was a great success and vital to good work of Big Brothers Big Sisters.
