JDI Seeks Trucking Contractors at the Atlantic Heavy Equipment Show in Moncton – April 7 and 8, 2016

Saint John, NB: JDI Woodlands Division is looking to partner with trucking contractors for long-term opportunities in JDI's Chipman and Sussex operations in New Brunswick.

The JDI Woodlands recruitment team is ready to start the conversation at the Atlantic Heavy Equipment Show on April 7th and 8th at the Moncton Coliseum.

John Everett, JDI Woodlands (Central NB) Trucking Supervisor, says the company is looking to immediately help 20 qualified truckers start their own business in partnership with JDI.

"The contractors would become owner/operators of best-in-class logging trucks with state-of-the-art technology designed for safe operations and efficiencies," said Everett.

JDI is committed to providing the tools and business expertise to help these entrepreneurs succeed in New Brunswick's $1 billion forest products sector.

"If you are a driven individual with the right attitude, with people and business skills, and mechanically inclined -  or even if you are willing to learn these skills - we want to talk to you at the Moncton Coliseum,” said Everett.

In the meantime, the JDI Woodlands Division is currently looking to partner with 26 new harvesting contractors and 52 new harvesting operators this season. These new owner/operators represent 70 new jobs across Southern and Central New Brunswick.

"We're excited about this new generation of New Brunswickers in the forest products business,” said Jason Limongelli, Vice President, JDI Woodlands Division. "We've been investing in growing the forest in New Brunswick for decades, so today it's great to see new harvesting and trucking partners supplying wood to our mills from trees that people in this region planted 25 to 30 years ago."
