JDI Sawmills Division is excited to announce New Brunswick made Christmas gift ideas available now in select KENT Building Supplies locations. Select pieces of hardwood from our Veneer Sawmill in Northern New Brunswick are being re-purposed to create top quality kitchen cutting boards. A perfect gift idea for the Holiday Season!

The new value-added product is the direct result of a New Brunswick partnership between JDI Sawmills and JMN Enterprises, Inc. of St. Francois-de-Madawaska, NB. 

"We are proud to produce this great product using maple hardwood from JDI's sustainable managed forests," said Jean-Francois Landry, Vice President, JMN Enterprises, Inc. The hardwood from the Veneer Sawmill is sent to the dry kiln at the Clair Value-Added mill for drying, before making its way to JMN Enterprises. "The cutting boards or chopping blocks are just one of many value-added products that we produce for markets throughout North America," Landry said.

The maple chopping blocks or cutting boards are another offering in a line of home products to compliment JDI's painted barn board products introduced last year. “The JDI Sawmills team is happy to partner with KENT as they provide a great holiday shopping environment for these new products,” says Brett Anderson, Key Account & Merchandising Manager for JDI Sawmills.

The cutting boards are available in 5 different sizes, all made in solid Maple Hardwood:
