Irving Shipbuilding recently confirmed a new contract for Shelburne Ship Repair.

Atlantic Towing Limited's Atlantic Spruce, a Z-drive reverse tractor tug, has arrived in Shelburne for the following work:

• Hull painting
• Sea valves overhaul
• Propulsion thrusters and propellers inspection
• Switchboard and power distribution system maintenance work

The work is expected to take two to three weeks and employ 25 people.  Atlantic Towing Limited has a fleet of modern Z-drive tugs, all Canadian-built by Irving Shipbuilding; and Shelburne Ship Repair is proud to ensure they remain in peak condition.
