New Commercial Project for Kent Homes

Kent Homes has signed an agreement with East Coast Catering Limited to deliver over 200 dorm-style bedrooms by early March 2013 to the offshore oil and gas development at Bull Arm in Newfoundland and Labrador.  The agreement is excellent news for the 225 Kent Homes employees and the Town of Bouctouche, as January and February are typically a slow time in the construction industry and seasonal lay-offs do occur.

“Winning this contract is a real tribute to the skill and hard work of the great team of employees we have in Bouctouche,” said David Saucy, General Manager of Kent Homes.  “Kent Homes is excited to be working with East Coast Catering Limited (ECC) on this project.  ECC’s long history of providing quality camp facilities to the mining, oil & gas, and construction industry is a natural fit for the quality building projects that Kent Homes has been delivering for over 54 years.  The project means that the Kent Homes production facility at Bouctouche will operate at full capacity for the next three months – sustaining 225 jobs, without any seasonal lay-offs.”
