Saint John, New Brunswick – J.D. Irving, Limited employees in New Brunswick have been invited to participate in COVID-19 vaccination and booster clinics hosted by Hartland-based Pharmacy for Life

Employees and immediate family members will register for appointments at workplace clinics beginning January 13, 2022. Clinics will administer Moderna vaccine for individuals over 30 years of age or Pfizer vaccine for individuals between 18 and 29 years of age. Comparable clinics in 2021 saw the company work with Pharmacy for Life and the government of New Brunswick to provide more than 3,500 employees with vaccinations.

“We’re committed to doing all that we can to support our public health leaders, Province and all New Brunswickers in limiting Omicron’s impact on our provincial health-care system,” said Jim Ramsay, J.D. Irving, Limited’s Vice President of Health & Safety. “We expect we will be able to reach many employees and their families over the next 10 days, which will increase the greater population’s access to provincial clinics and private pharmacies.”

In November, the company announced that employees at the more than 45 different work sites with a 95 per cent vaccination rate across the province would receive bonuses, as part of an organizational initiative. 

“We know that vaccines are proven to be a safe and effective way of protecting ourselves and others from the worst impacts of COVID-19 including hospitalization and death,” Ramsay said. “We encourage all New Brunswickers to get vaccinated and boosted as soon as they are eligible.”
