Railway Operations Update

On July 15th, 2013, following a full operational review, we issued several operating bulletins to both our US and Canadian operations that will further safeguard the public and our employees. These changes are compliant with the changes announced by Transport Canada yesterday.

Specifically:

1. Our trains are not left unattended on our mainline operations in New Brunswick and Maine
2. All locomotives that are unattended and safely parked on rail sidings and rail yards will be completely secured and rendered inoperable
3. Hand brake policies provide train crews with more specific guidance on their application to include the size of the train and the terrain where the train is parked.
