ROYALE Wins International Award for Purr-oudly Canadian TV Commercial


Dieppe, NB – ROYALE, a Canadian household paper products brand, is Purr-oudly Canadian and they recently won an international award for showcasing their Canadian pride.

“We’re thrilled we won a silver award for our Purr-oudly Canadian TV commercial at this year’s Summit Creative Awards,” said Jim Schedler, Vice President of Marketing, ROYALE. “This ad showcases our Purr-oudly Canadian employees at our Canadian plants who are committed to providing quality household paper products for Canadians.”

The campaign was developed in 2017 by Hawk Marketing from Moncton, NB. It won a silver award in the category for TV commercials over $25,000.



“The Summit Creative Award is widely recognized for its prestige worldwide and is a coveted honour to its award winners. It serves as the industry benchmark of excellence,” said Schedler.



For over 50 years, ROYALE has been a household name and a fixture in Canadian bathrooms. ROYALE is the only Canadian brand to offer a full line of consumer household paper products including bathroom tissue, paper towel, facial tissue and napkins. ROYALE is produced by Irving Consumer Products Limited, a Canadian company headquartered in Dieppe, New Brunswick. The company also has manufacturing plants in Toronto, Ontario and Saint John and Dieppe, New Brunswick. 

The majority of the raw materials that go into making ROYALE household paper products come from Canada. Their entire value chain, from seed to trees to the finished tissue products contributes to over 14,000 direct, indirect and induced jobs in Canada.

Submissions were received from over 50 countries spanning 5 continents and are judged on strength of concept, quality of execution and ability to persuade.
