RST Driver Marks a Career-Crowning Achievement
RST driver Robert Pratt is the 2014 APTA Driver of The Year. This prestigious award is presented by the Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association (APTA) to Maritime drivers who exemplify the industry’s best in safety excellence, service, and reliability.
Over the years, RST Industries has recognized Mr. Pratt for many safety milestones. However, this year marks a career-crowning achievement: he will have surpassed 3,500,000 miles of safe driving. This achievement is all the more impressive considering that he is not a long-haul driver. Robert is a tanker fuel truck driver, operating in maritime communities.
“Robert is recognized for his impressive dependability to service, safety, and improvement over a 50-year career, 35 of those years with RST,” says Don Bonnell, RST Director of Operations. “Robert is a long-standing driver with over 3.5 million miles of safe driving. This is an outstanding feat and we congratulate him.”
In 2015 RST Industries’ team of 270 highly professional drivers will deliver over 228,000 loads to customers in Canada and the United States. RST’s drivers will log over 15.5 million miles safely this year with drivers like Mr. Robert Pratt as inspiration.
