Nine-year-old Sarah Daigle loves hockey, kick boxing, and cooking. The latter passion earned her a trip to Canada's capital for the Kid Food Nation Awards Gala!

Sarah has enjoyed making culinary creations since the age of three, beginning by helping her parents whip up pancakes. She now has guacamole, salads, and more in her repertoire. 

With her healthy recipe called Sarah's Everything Salad she was one of the twenty-six kids from all over Canada selected as a 2017 winner. We met with Sarah at the Saint John City Market where she showed us what goes into her award-winning recipe:

"My salad was served as one of the appetizers for the gala," said the grade four student. "I got to meet kids from all over Canada!"
