Elementary school students from across the United States participate in the Scotties (U.S.) Trees Rock video contest.  The contest is held by Irving Tissue Inc. in partnership with American Forests.

The Trees Rock contest is aimed at educating elementary students, schools, and PTA groups on why forests and trees are important to all of us.  Participating grade 3 to 5 classes were supplied with an online package containing information on trees and what they do for the environment.  Students worked independently and in groups to produce a Scotties (U.S.) Trees Rock video for a chance to win prizes for their schools. 
 
U.S. residents can vote for their favourite video until February 14, 2014.  The student(s) who submitted the video entry that receives the most votes will receive the grand prize of $10,000 for their school and a Trees Rock Entertainment and Planting Event.  Runner-up prizes and sweepstakes prizes for consumers will also be awarded.  The winning videos will be announced on February 21, 2014.
