Irving Tissue has partnered with American Forests in the Scotties (U.S.) Trees Rock video contest for elementary schools across the United States. 

The contest is aimed at educating elementary students, schools, and PTA groups on why forests and trees are important to all of us.  The program provided grade 3-5 students with an online packet containing information on how trees work and what they do for the environment.  In turn, participating students produced a Scotties (U.S.) Trees Rock video for a chance to win prizes for themselves and their schools.

U.S. residents can vote for their favourite video until February 15.  The student(s) who submitted the video entry that receives the most votes will receive the following grand prize:
• $5000 in cash
• a tablet computer
• a trip for four to the Grand Canyon or Yellowstone National Park
• $10,000 for their school with a tree planting ceremony

Runner-up prizes and sweepstakes prizes for consumers will also be awarded.  The winning videos will be announced next month.
