Shipyard Workers Rally to Support a Colleague and his Personal Cause to Find a Cure for Cystic Fibrosis
Cystic Fibrosis Canada Scotia Chapter presented Irving Shipbuilding employees, CAW Local 1, and management with a plaque to honour their fundraising efforts over the past five years. Barry Nurse, Crane Operator at Irving Shipbuilding’s Halifax Shipyard, has led the fundraising effort, volunteering many hours of his time to the cause in honour of his granddaughter who suffers from the disease. Over the past five years donations have added up to over $7,000.
