Shovels in the Ground at Irving Pulp & Paper
Saint John, NB: Construction work is now underway for the largest pulp mill investment in Canada since 1993. The $450 million modernization project at Irving Pulp & Paper in Saint John will involve a total of 1.2 million person hours of construction work over the next 48 months.
Civil work has begun to prepare the site for construction of a continuous digester. The existing chip handling equipment will also be replaced with state-of-the-art technology as part of JDI's ongoing investment to stay competitive in the global market environment.
