Welcome to our 2023 Summer Students!

J.D. Irving, Limited (JDI) is proud to announce the arrival of over 500 summer students who have joined the organization for a four-month work term this summer. This significant influx of students demonstrates the company's commitment to nurturing talent, providing valuable learning experiences and contributing to the development of the future workforce. Hailing from various universities across Canada, such as the University of New Brunswick (UNB), Dalhousie University (DAL), Memorial University (MUN), and New Brunswick Community College (NBCC), these students represent a diverse and talented pool.

JDI's investment in local talent aims to create opportunities for students to grow professionally within their own communities. Students are offered the chance to gain practical, hands-on experience that will pave the way for their future success. Throughout their work terms, these students will be immersed in real-world projects, allowing them to apply their acquired knowledge and skills in a practical manner.

Those students who exhibit exceptional aptitude and dedication are given the opportunity to further their growth within the organization upon graduation. This commitment to recognizing talent enables JDI to attract and retain some of the brightest minds in the industry. By allowing these individuals to join one team and grow with many, the company fosters a culture of professional development and advancement.

More than 11,000 jobs are projected to be available across all levels of JDI in the next three years. Filling these positions is a priority and has led to the establishment of co-op programs and partnerships with local universities. Furthermore, students are being hiring even before their graduation in order to recruit and cultivate new graduates. By investing in the future of the business and the growth and development of the community, J.D. Irving, Limited is laying the foundation for continued success.
