Irving Tissue to award two $10,000 cash prizes to sustainable school projects in annual Trees Rock® Contest!

Irving Consumers Products is pleased to host the Scotties (U.S.) Trees Rock®  video contest.  The contest invites schools across the United States to create and submit videos on the importance of trees to students, their schools, and their communities.  Two Grand Prize winners  will each receive a $10,000 cash prize for their school to use towards a sustainable project, such as tree plantings, outdoor classrooms, playgrounds, athletic fields, gardens, and greenhouses. 

Entries were narrowed down to 20 finalists: 10 in grades three to five and 10 in grades six to eight. Online voting for the top videos took place between January 12 and February 6 on the Trees Rock® website. 

The winners in both categories will be announced on February 15, with winner events being celebrated later this spring.
