Welcome 2016 Winter Co-op Students

J.D. Irving, Limited (JDI) is pleased to welcome 68 winter co-op students throughout our operations this winter term.

We are proudly working with 12 post-secondary institutions to hire students across our various divisions including information technology, communications, finance, sales, engineering, and human resources.

“At JDI our co-op program goes beyond just work experience. Students receive opportunities to learn, grow, and receive professional development training,” says Angela Roy, Student Talent Acquisition Specialist with JDI.  “Co-op students are an important piece of our organization’s focus on meeting our future workforce needs. Many students transition from their co-op terms to full-time roles after graduation.  Last year we hired over 100 grads from the class of 2015, many who worked with us as co-op students.  At JDI, it’s a lot more than a paid co-op experience; it’s an opportunity to start your career.”

Eight of the 68 students will be working at our Saint John head office in IT, Finance, Digital Marketing, and Communications.

This winter, co-op students are joining us from the following institutions:

- University of New Brunswick Fredericton
- Acadia University  (NS)
- University of New Brunswick Saint John
- Memorial University of Newfoundland
- Mount Saint Vincent University
- Holland College (PEI)
- New Brunswick Community College
- Marine Institute of Technology (NL)
- Dalhousie University (NS)
- Nova Scotia Community College
- Université de Moncton (NB)
