J.D. Irving, Limited (JDI) is pleased to welcome over 65 co-op students across our operations this fall.  The fall term students are some of more than 600 students the company welcomes to its operations every year.

JDI provides students with the opportunity to develop their career in a team-based, collaborative environment. We value our students and provide them with the opportunity to broaden their skillset while gaining hands-on experience.

We are proud to be working with 16 post-secondary institutions across our various divisions.

“Students are such an important part of the organization; they contribute to real projects to get the job done. We want to make sure we provide a great hands-on learning experience for the students so that they can make the most of their time here,” said Alex Swanton, Manager of Student Recruitment.

Maggie McLeod, a Human Resources Shared Services co-op student from the University of New Brunswick, Saint John, is looking forward to her work term with JDI.

“I am so excited to be doing my work term with J.D. Irving. I am very fortunate to be part of the human resources shared services team. Everyone on the team has made me feel so welcome and they are all extremely supportive. There are endless opportunities for growth and development with JDI and I am thrilled to see what the future brings.”

Colin Kelly is an accounting co-op student from Dalhousie University who is excited to be returning to JDI for his second work term.

“I am looking forward to working in a large, diverse company where I can increase my professional skills and network. JDI is known for appreciating the work from their students and providing endless opportunities. For those reasons, I am glad to be part of the team."
