Welcome Winter Co-op Students

J.D. Irving, Limited is pleased to welcome 49 co-op students across our divisions this winter.

Thirteen students will work at the Head Office in our Finance, Communications, and Information Technology Departments. Others will complete their co-op terms with Cavendish Farms, Atlantic Wallboard, Irving Tissue, Irving Pulp & Paper, Irving Shipbuilding, and Atlantic Towing.

Our students are studying various disciplines and come from the following institutions:

  • University of New Brunswick (Fredericton and Saint John)
  • Université de Moncton
  • Mount Saint Vincent University
  • Memorial University
  • Dalhousie University
  • New Brunswick Community College
  • College of the North Atlantic

The Transportation and Logistics Division also has an additional 11 Marine Cadets on work term placements from the Nova Scotia Community College’s Nautical Science Institute and Memorial University’s Marine Institute this term.

“We are pleased to work with co-op students across our Divisions this winter,” said Colleen Baxter, JDI Vice President Human Resources. “It is part of our ongoing commitment to grow and provide opportunities that are aligned to our business needs for the next generation.  A winning combination!”
