This past Sunday at INP was the “Geocaching for Geocash” event. In an introductory course on geocaching, families and friends go out into the park for two hours with the goal of locating and collecting “geocash”. After saving up their “geocash” through geocaching and additional challenges, contestants were able to use their “geo-funds” to bid on a selection of prizes during the auction afterwards, and enjoy a free barbeque. Fun was had by all, and we hope to see you at the next event!

Irving Nature Park is the proud recipient of the Top Attraction 2015 Award. Hospitality Saint John partnered with CBC New Brunswick to ask the citizens of Saint John to share their stories, and votes of support for their favorite attraction in Saint John. “We are very pleased to be the recipient of this award. Here at the park, we strive to provide all of our visitors with an unforgettable experience, and work hard to keep the Irving Nature Park a special place for everyone,” said Alexandra Fox, Irving Nature Park Site Manager.

Come enjoy Saint John’s Top Attraction with exciting upcoming events like Planets and Perseids: The RASC NB provincial astronomy club is celebrating INP being Canada’s first Urban Star Park. Peak through a telescope to see craters and mountains on the Moon, Saturn’s rings, and maybe even have the chance to see a sky full of shooting stars!

INP is approaching an enormous bench mark, with nearly 5 million people having visited the park. You will want to be one of those visitors this summer, making more memories to share with your friends and family at Saint John’s Top Attraction.
